Everything you might want from a market town is a short walk along the towpath — shops, restaurants, pubs, the station, the weekly market.
And once you’re back inside the marina, the town disappears: mature trees, reed beds, the gentle sound of running water through the river and marina.

The nearby pub, The Swan. Newbury. just a couple minutes walk from the marina
The local Tesco, just 5 minutes walk away. There is also a Costa Coffee, a Lidl and an M&S food just as close by.

Newbury sits where the A34 meets the M4, which puts most of southern England within about an hour’s drive. Easy road access is often what makes the difference between a boat you use and a boat you don’t.

The Kennet & Avon Canal at Newbury Manor Marina
HEAD WEST
Through Hungerford, the Vale of Pewsey and the Caen Hill flight of 29 locks near Devizes, on to Bath and the Avon out to Bristol.
HEAD EAST
Onto the Thames at Reading — from there, down to London one way, or up the Thames as far as Oxford
GETTING HERE
London Road, Newbury, RG14 2BP.
If you are coming from the town centre, pass the BP Garage/M&S food on your left hand side. Then go straight over the roundabout. You will have Costa Coffee and B&Q on your right hand side.
Then after about 50 meters, take the first turn on the right. The road has a "dead end" sign on the left.
Head down there, bearing right as the road turns, until near the dead end you will see the green security gates on the left hand side. And you have found us!
Approach from east or west on the Kennet & Avon.
Our entrance is just upstream of Ham Lock on the northern bank
